For the most part, Arc Raiders is a fairly serious game. It’s all about infiltrating a hostile environment full of lethal robots and other players out to betray you, but that doesn’t mean developer Embark Studios can’t be a little whimsical here and there. We all know about the game’s love of rubber ducks, and back when the game first launched, you couldn’t move for players messing around with flutes.
Almost two months on from the game’s release, Arc Raiders now has a new musical instrument for players to mess about with, this time an acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, actually grabbing this instrument is proving to be a task too great for many people, as it requires solving a pretty complex puzzle involving over a dozen random buttons found throughout the Buried City.
All you really need to do is activate all of these buttons in the correct order, but if you press the wrong one, the entire puzzle resets. Not too bad, you might think, but you’re playing a multiplayer game, remember. Not only are there griefers to contend with, but you could always just get some curious bozo passing by and push a random button to reset your progress.
Arc Raiders Fans Are Suffering For The Game s New Acoustic Guitar
As a result, the Arc Raiders subreddit is full of horror stories about actually trying to grab this one acoustic guitar. For example, a user called Iki-u claims to have spent “9 hours straight” trying to successfully complete the puzzle. In the replies, they go on to admit that they “raged a lot” over the challenge, but it was “worth all the pain.”
Another user called Teeeeedot admits that they spent eight hours getting it as well, while less resilient players like Any-Value1142 gave up due to random players breaking the puzzle before they could complete it. What’s even funnier is you have loads of people admitting to pressing random buttons they found, not knowing what they’d even done. Now they know they most likely ruined someone’s day.

It’s such a rough puzzle that many are claiming that it’s probably impossible to do completely solo, but if you don’t have any friends, and you’re willing to get your hands dirty, there is a very easy way to get the guitar. As pointed out by a Reddit user called Thomass2s, all you really need to do is follow the sounds of an acoustic guitar and dome the person you see holding one. Sure, you’re a horrible person and I don’t know how you could sleep at night, but hey, you’d have a guitar!
