If you’ve played Arc Raiders for a little while, you probably already realize just how hostile the environment can be, especially if you’re playing in a group. While you might make some friends in the solo games, the chances of you getting shot in the back are much higher, which is why it’s impossible to get big quests in this game.

This is the main reason why most of the quests during your raids of the Topside are quite small, just like Source of the Contamination. For this quest, you just have to visit a specific location on the map and interact with one item to beat it.
Where To Find The Flood Spill Intake
After you accept the Source Of The Contamination quest in Arc Raiders, you’ll first be asked to arrive at the Water Treatment building, which can be found on the Dam Battlegrounds map. You can easily spot it with a yellow outline on the bottom-left side when you’re looking at the map.
After reaching the vicinity of this building, you’ll then be asked to locate the Flood Spill Intake. To do this, look at your map once again and you’ll notice a small ramp-type structure on the northern side of the Water Treatment building that’s sticking out of the yellow boundary. This is the area you’re looking for.
Where To Find The Suspicious Object
As you get to the area mentioned above, you’ll find a small body of stagnant water. Once you get there, you’ll be asked to look for a suspicious object, which is the barrel that you can clearly see in the middle of the water. As you get close to this barrel, you’ll be able to interact with it.

Finish this interaction and you can claim your rewards from this quest once you get out of the raid, either by getting knocked out or extracting. As a reward, you’ll get a mod component, some springs, and some duct tape.
