Haven Smith is a freelance creative and professional writing with a huge focus on fantasy novels and video game articles. He has over five years of personal writing experience, three years of personal editing experience, and a passion for writing of all kinds. In personal accomplishments alone, Haven is currently hard at work on a 103k word fantasy novel. Professionally, Haven strives to provide fun, clearly written, and factual articles about the games he plays, and help the reader progress further in them. His current specialty in videogames is the cozy life-sim game Disney Dreamlight Valley, his new obsession in the genre. When Haven isn’t working on writing projects such as novels or game articles, his time is spent gaming, either playing Disney Dreamlight Valley for fun and to continue providing helpful guides, or one of the many other games he enjoys. Two of his partners in writing (and the occasional bit of mischief) include his pair of cats, Zell and Penelo, both named after Final Fantasy Characters.
Lance is one of many doctors and physicians in Speranza in Arc Raiders, and he handles a lot of the Raiders that come through with injuries from ARC machines or otherwise, but he doesn’t just take care of anyone.
After a bunch of quests, Celeste will finally give you a personal one where she asks you to retreive her journals in Arc Raiders.
Medical technology and manufacturing are still progressing, and there are a lot of injuries to go around, so whatever supplies Speranza has needs to be used sparingly and on those who need them most. Still, there are ways you can ensure you get treated. Help Lance refill some of his stock, and you’ll move right onto the list of patients and help out Speranza in general, too.
How To Get Every Item Lance Requests
Doctor’s Orders is a quest given to you by Lance, and it’s unlocked by completing the quest, Greasing Her Palms. For this, he requests you find him four different items for his medical lab: one Syringe, two Antiseptics, one Durable Cloth, and one Great Mullein.
This can be accomplished on any map, though you’ll want to avoid The Blue Gate due to the rarity of consistently spawning medical loot on it. Dam Battlegrounds and the Buried City are the two easiest maps to get it done in one trip on, as they have plenty of medical loot and easy access to Great Mullein.
Of those two prime locations, the Dam Battlegrounds will be the safest, as only a few of the more dangerous ARC enemies, such as Rocketeers, spawn, and you have plenty of cover away from them.
The Buried City’s Hospital gives you a lot more lootable containers to search, but it’s a prime map for PVP and has a lot more enemies to deal with and not nearly as much open space to avoid or run from them.
Make sure to save some Antiseptics you find, as you need five of them to upgrade your Medical Lab to Level III, and they’re used to craft Sterilized Bandages, Vita Sprays, and Vita Shots.
Outside the Great Mullein, all the other items are in the Medical category and are most commonly found in locations with Medical loot, such as the Testing Annex on Dam Battleground.
Other locations you can find the items at include:
Raider outposts, such as the Formical Outpost and Raider Outpost East, occasionally have medical loot.
Both the Arrival Building and the Departure Building have a medical area on the second floor.
At any of these locations, you’ll want to search through the blue drawers on the desks, lockers, large white shelves with drawers, and any desks with laboratory equipment on them.
Make sure to grab any Cracked Bioscanners you see, as these are needed to upgrade your Medical Lab to Level II, and they can be recycled into Batteries after.
Lootable containers can have any of the three items you need in them, and you can also occasionally find Syringes and Durable Cloths lying on medical beds and the small medical trays next to them, while Antiseptic is a bit more likely to be found near laboratory equipment if it’s not in a container.
Where To Find Great Mullein
Great Mullein is a knee-high plant with large green leaves and pink-red flowers on top. They’re most commonly used to make Herbal Bandages, and they show up on every map, most often near bodies of water or inside ruined houses as a potted plant.

Dam Battlegrounds and the Buried City have the most locations for Great Mullein, while Spaceport is the map with the least. The best spots to get some from include:
The Swamp region in Dam Battleground, especially near the Old Battleground and the Hydroponic Dome Complex.
The Testing Annex building in Dam Battleground has three to four plants in a water-filled room on the first floor.
The first floor of the Galleria in the Buried City has several planters, which have three Great Mulleins per planter, and grabbing them all can net you around 15 per trip, unless they’ve been picked.
Great Mullein spawns all over The Blue Gate as well, but it’s generally in one-to-two plant groups. You’re most likely to find some in the forested regions around the Ruined Homestead, Checkpoint, the Highway Collapse, Forest Airshaft, and the Trapper’s Glade.
When you’ve got everything, return to Speranza and speak with Lance at his lab to turn in the quest. For your troubles, you’ll get a reward of some EXP, three Adrenaline Shots, three Sterilized Bandages, and one Surge Shield Recharger.
