If You Can’t Choose Between Waterboy And Phenomaman In Dispatch, One Fan Has You Covered

A talented Dispatch player has made it so you don’t have to choose between Waterboy and Phenomaman, and can have them both on the Z-Team at the same time.
As you’d expect from a choice-based game, Dispatch has a lot of tough decisions for the player to make. Yes, I know we’re all instantly thinking about the Blonde Blazer vs. Invisigal debate, but I’d argue that’s not even the game’s most interesting split. No, the actual standout choice in Dispatch is whether you bring Phenomaman or Waterboy onto the Z-Team.
Choosing whether to cut Sonar or Coupe is also a much more interesting moment than romancing Blonde Blazer or Invisigal.
Even though I’d argue that the decision is about as obvious as it is with Invisigal and Blonde Blazer (Waterboy all the way), it’s still a more involved and interesting choice that shapes what the rest of your Dispatch playthrough looks like with unique interactions and gameplay. Well, ignore all of that, because one player has made that choice completely irrelevant.
Dispatch Mod Lets You Have Waterboy And Phenomaman At The Same Time
Sounds Like A Shipper s Dream
As of the time of writing, there aren’t that many mods for Dispatch available on Nexus Mods – I mean, what can you really change about the game, right? That’s what I thought too, but then I saw a mod from nordmodz that actually makes a very big change to the game by letting you have Waterboy and Phenomaman at the same time.
Adhoc Games evolves upon the Telltale formula in some incredibly ways with Dispatch.
That’s right, instead of having to choose one and then replay the whole game to see how different things get if you go for Katon-Ur instead of Herm, you can now do it all in one playthrough. Once the mod is installed, both heroes will be on the Z-Team as soon as you start Shift 4B, and you’ll hear both of their unique responses and dialogue.
As great as it sounds to have both heroes on your team at once for a majority of the game’s shifts, I imagine there are still some limitations. For example, you likely still only get the recruitment and conversation cutscenes with the hero you pick when talking to Blonde Blazer, and it seems to have a bit of a strange effect on synergy bonuses.

Even with that in mind, it’s still a very cool mod for Dispatch that proves a lot more can be done with the mostly video-based game than any of us thought. Now we just need Blonde Blazer on the roster permanently and all of my wishes will have come true.
