Geiger Counters aren’t exactly the kind of loot you stumble across while minding your own business in Arc Raiders. They’re rare, a little mysterious, and, if we’re being honest, exactly the kind of item that makes you wonder what on Earth the old world was dealing with before the ARC showed up. Luckily, tracking one down doesn’t require a hazmat suit or years of scientific expertise, just a decent eye for loot containers and a bit of map knowledge.
In need of Magnetic Acclerators? Here are the best ways to obtain this Epic material in Arc Raiders.
If you’re hoping to recycle something worth more than pocket lint, knowing where these radiation-sniffing gadgets spawn can save you a whole lot of wasted runs. Dust off your best raiding gear, it’s time to go scavenging.
What Is A Geiger Counter?
A Geiger Counter in Arc Raiders is a rare recyclable item. What makes it special isn’t just the difficulty in finding one, but what it breaks down into once you finally get your hands on it.
When recycled, a single Geiger Counter returns three Batteries and one Exodus Module. This makes it one of the more useful recyclables for anyone working toward upgrades. You can sell it for 3,500 coins if you’re desperate, but nine times out of ten, it’s better held onto for quests or scrapped.
How To Find Geiger Counters
Your best odds of finding Geiger Counters are inside the Stella Montis map, specifically in designated Exodus areas, such as the Assembly and the Business Center. When searching Stella Montis, keep an eye out for the red, mailbox-like resource containers that often line interior hallways/corridors. These have one of the highest chances of containing a Geiger Counter.
If you prefer something more predictable, there is also a reliable spawn point in the Medical Research Lab. Inside, look for the square, box-shaped grey drawer containers that blend into the lab’s environment. While not guaranteed, they are known to produce Geiger Counters more often than the average container. This makes them worth a sweep every time you run the area.
