Delving into the world of Arc Raiders, you’ll learn that being quick on your feet is a necessity. Be it running from Arc units or fleeing from aggressive raiders, you’ll want to pack light and leave quickly. Drawing attention to yourself is a bad idea, and one thing you don’t want to face unprepared is a Leaper.
These massive, spider-like machine will pounce on you–literally. We’ll help you locate one and bring it down so you can show Shani that you can handle your own. Of course, you can also do this just for the loot, as there’s plenty to go around.
Best Places To Find A Leaper
When you undertake this quest from Shani, you’ll need to find and defeat a Leaper. If you haven’t faced one up until now, it can seem like a daunting task. However, a bit of preparation will set you up for success. You’ll want to bring weapons that use heavy ammo, like the Anvil, or something even more effective–the Hullcracker.
Even if you’ve beaten a Leaper before and collected a Leaper Pulse Unit, Shani wants you to do it again. To find a Leaper, you’ll need to locate a place with lots of Arc resistance. The best places to look are around the center of the Spaceport, the ruined villages and orchard in Blue Gate, and by the solar panels in the southern reaches of the Buried City. There’s no guarantee they’ll appear here, but you can always try your luck during the Matriarch event.
Sometimes she’ll call in a Leaper as reinforcements, and you can lure it away from the main fight.
Leapers have a fatal weakness that cripples them almost instantly. Aim for their legs to throw them off balance and make their jumps far less effective. The armor plating will take a few shots to come off, but it works well to minimize the threat a Leaper poses.
Of course, you can also aim for the center–the eye. A good shot will send it flying, buying you some time to get out of the way. Keep your distance from the Leaper, as it gives off a pulse of energy that deals a lot of damage, and it can light you up with its rockets when it’s leaping through the air.

Once you break the Leaper’s armor and bring it down, it will explode into several parts. Each of these can be looted for parts and precious resources, so make sure to move quickly and carry everything you can back to the closest extract point. Make sure to grab the Leaper Pulse unit for Shani!
Put the Leaper Pulse Unit in your safe pocket to ensure you return home with it for the quest.
Give everything to Shani to collect your rewards and bring mankind one step more out of the shadows. You’ll be rewarded with the Radio Renegade cosmetic, the Burgerboy charm, a Vulcano III, and some shotgun ammo.
