The Sands Of Time Remake Website Suggests January Release Rumours Aren’t Far Off

A candle in the teaser for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. 4

It looks like the rumours that the Sands of Time remake is launching in January might not be too far-fetched, as a maintained website has recently been spotted by fans.

Prince of Persia fans may have been eating very well over the past few years thanks to The Lost Crown and Rogue Prince, but it’s not been such an easy time for anyone wanting to see the Sands of Time remake. Originally revealed all the way back in 2020 with an infamous art style, the project was almost immediately scrapped, leading to nearly six years of silence while the whole thing was rebooted.

Outside of a very brief teaser and some recent leaks from an outdated version of the game, we’ve not really seen anything substantial from the Sands of Time remake, which might make you think it’s a long way off. For some time now, a reliable insider has suggested it’s actually launching later this month, something that a recently spotted website might back up.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake Website Updated Following Rumours Of A January Launch
January Still Seems Impossible, But Maybe A Little Less So

As pointed out by My Nintendo News, a website domain that seems to be linked to the Sands of Time remake was recently spotted by fans on the Prince of Persia subreddit. Redditor Blue-fox-004, who has previously been keeping a very close eye on job listings for the game, shared a post highlighting that fans in the Prince of Persia Discord spotted a domain aptly named “princeofpersiathesandsoftime.com”.

Although that website domain isn’t live yet, Blue-fox-004 indicates that it was updated as recently as December 10, suggesting that it’s been worked on fairly recently and might be ready to go live in the near future. Blue-fox-004 also points out that Black Flag Resynced doesn’t have a domain yet, supporting Insider Gaming’s claims that Sands of Time will launch before that remake.

If Ubisoft does plan on shadowdropping The Sands of Time in January, there’s a decent chance it appears at Xbox’s upcoming Developer Showcase.

Since the website itself can’t be accessed right now, it’s hard to get much more information from it. That being said, it’s a decent sign that the remake’s development is progressing smoothly, and that we might actually end up seeing it as soon as Insider Gaming has claimed.

After the success of the Fallout TV show’s second season, many people are looking for a new game. Guess what: it’s already available.
