After years of waiting, the long-rumoured triple-A John Wick game is apparently being announced “soon”, alongside another surprising Lionsgate adaptation.
For as long as John Wick has been a thing, fans have wanted to see him get a proper full-budget, triple-A gaming adaptation (which sadly counts out John Wick Hex). It seems like such an easy recipe for success that it’s a wonder it hasn’t happened already, especially considering how long Lionsgate has been talking about the idea.
After years of brief mentions that a John Wick game was being pitched and considered, it looks like Lionsgate might be gearing up to showcase what it’s been working on. As it turns out, though, it’s not just John Wick that’s going to be getting a new triple-A video game in the near future.

Saw Is Also Getting A Triple-A Game, And I Pray It s Better Than The Last Two
As highlighted by Wccftech and originally reported by Tech4Gamers, Lionsgate chairman Adam Fogelson recently revealed during the company’s Q2 2026 earnings call that triple-A video games based on John Wick, Saw, and “some others that we’ll be announcing soon” are all in the works. John Wick we saw coming, but Saw is quite a surprise.
Fogelson noted that these games are seeing “increased interest and increased opportunity” and remain on “schedule”. Considering the fact that triple-A John Wick and Saw games haven’t even been properly revealed yet, it’s interesting to see them confirmed through an investor’s call, of all things.

From the sounds of it, though, we could be seeing both the Saw and John Wick games announced at some point in 2026, as Fogelson says they plan on revealing more details soon. The statement also suggests that it’s not just Saw and John Wick getting adaptations, as “some others” were also hinted at, leaving the door pretty open for Lionsgate properties.

About time we better have gameplay like sleeping dogs type combat, that turn based shi wasn’t it was goofy for a John Wick game

Calling something AAA is not a reason for anyone to get excited. Its in fact the opposite. In 2026 AAA means greedy post launch monetized slop without any innovation that we have already played a dozen times.
