In Arc Raiders, you will spend a ton of time hunting down materials, fighting other players, and defeating the various ARC enemies patrolling the map. While you will acquire all sorts of loot during your journey, some rare items are worth hoarding a few stacks of for future use.
One of these is the Complex Gun Parts, which are used to craft and upgrade various legendary weapons such as the Jupiter, Equalizer, and Aphelion. Here is everything you need to know about looting, crafting, buying, and recycling Complex Gun Parts.
Where To Find Complex Gun Parts
If you’re looking to snag Complex Gun Parts the normal way, you have a few options for places to look. Classified as a Security material, this item has a chance to spawn at any location with the double chevron icon. Some of the best spots for finding Complex Gun Parts are:
Launch Tower in Spaceport
These are the four main Security-loot themed areas, with the Lobby in Stella Montis and Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds being the best options for specifically looking for Complex Gun Parts. Stella Montis, in general, has some of the best loot drops in the game, thanks to the high volume of lootable containers and higher-tier materials. Specifically, for the Lobby point of interest, focus your search in the breachable side rooms labeled “Security” on the walls.
If you are specifically farming Complex Gun Parts, consider doing it during a Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm since these will drastically raise your chances of finding them!
If you want something a little more chill, the Launch Tower in Spaceport is a nice spot to hit. However, while I have found quite a number of Epic items in this building, it’s not a consistent method for getting Complex Gun Parts. That being said, I would still recommend stopping by and checking it out — especially if you are just passing through, since there are a ton of lootable containers in the two towers.
Finally, my personal favorite way to search for Complex Gun Parts is by looting Security Lockers. Tied to the final upgrade in the Security skill tree, this gives you access to the Security Lockers around the map. These seem to have a very high chance of containing Complex Gun Parts, so they’re always worth hitting. My route is hitting all the towers and small bunkers along the wall of Spaceport (shown above), as almost every single one contains a Security Locker!

Thankfully, there are other ways to get Complex Gun Parts if you need them for your arsenal. The most obvious is to simply purchase them from Celeste. You can buy one Complex Gun Part a day, and it will cost you a whopping 60 Seeds to do so. While this obviously isn’t ideal, it can be a great way to supplement your stockpile if you have a ton of Seeds to spend.
Alternatively, Complex Gun Parts can be crafted once you find the respective Blueprint. Done in the level 3 Refiner, it will cost you 2 Light Gun Parts, 2 Medium Gun Parts, and 2 Heavy Gun Parts. This will make you a single Complex Gun Part, which is a bit of a steep price if you don’t have a large treasure trove of materials.
As for getting the Complex Gun Parts blueprint, there is no guaranteed method. That said, hitting lockers, those metal breachable boxes, and locked rooms during Night Raids will drastically increase your chances. Blueprint drop rates got a buff specifically for any Electromagnetic Storm or Night Raid, making those the events you want to play when hunting for blueprints.
What Recycles Into Complex Gun Parts
Finally, the last (and least recommended) method for obtaining Complex Gun Parts is to recycle specific pieces of gear while out of a raid. These are the items that will give you Complex Gun Parts when recycled:
Aphelion
Breaking these down when out of a raid will net you one Complex Gun Part. Given that these are the rarest weapons in the entire game, I really only suggest doing this if the gun is broken, and you have no way to repair it. Even then, it still might be worth holding onto the gun instead of salvaging it for a material you obtain through other methods.
