Within the massive adventure of Where Winds Meet, Dragon keys are limited rare and unique items that open up an interesting gameplay avenue in the game. There are only a limited number available, but you need to find them all if you want to unlock all of the Where Winds Meet’s Weapon Martial Arts.

Be that as it may, locating all of these keys can be like finding a needle in a haystack if you don’t know which places to look. With this thorough location guide, you’ll be able to quickly find all Dragon Keys Where Winds Meet has to offer, along with all the locations you can use them.

What Are Dragon Keys?

In Where Winds Meet, Dragon Keys are gameplay items that allow players to take part in Skill Theft infiltration missions to acquire Weapon Martial Arts exclusive to certain Sects (in-game factions) you’re not a part of.

These missions are stealth missions where you need to sneak through each Sect’s hideout, reach its respective master, and observe them performing the Martial Art to acquire it for yourself. In order to start each mission, though, you have to use up a Dragon Key at a peculiar stone pillar outside each base’s secret entrance to open it, so you’ll need all five to obtain each Martial Art if you’re not part of those Sects.

At the time of writing, there are five locations where you can get Dragon Keys in Where Winds Meet: one as a Breakthrough reward, one as a quest reward, and three for clearing out specific outposts.

Breakthrough Reward

The first and easiest Dragon Key you’ll likely obtain is by achieve Breakthrough to Solo Mode Level 2: Emerging. This unlock becomes available once your Solo Mode character reaches Level 15.

If you haven’t reached Level 15 yet in Solo Mode, continue farming EXP by exploring and completing side quests throughout the game. Make using of the limited-time Pardon Parade events are also a great way to earn bonus EXP without much time or effort.

The second Dragon Key location Where Winds Meet players can find with the least effort is by completing the Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson side quest, which is started by finding and talking to the NPC, Qiu Yuehai — who is found southeast of the Moonveil Peak Boundary Stone on Moonveil Mountain, which is in the southwest section of the Qinghe region.

This very small quest tasks you for essentially hiding behind a rock and observing the master up ahead of Qiu Yuehai, Gu Le, to learn the Mystic Skill, Veil of Stillness.

The quest only takes around two-to-three minutes to complete and it’s good practice for learning Weapon Martial Arts from the Sect masters as well — as it uses the same quick-time event to master Veil of Stillness.

There are numerous outposts with enemies to clear out in Where Winds Meet, but only three of them offer a Dragon Key among the rewards you get for clearing them for the first time; these specific three outposts are the Bloomveil Monastery, Gourmand’s Grove, and Tiger Fort.

Bloomveil Monastery is found northeast of the Qinghe region, and can be found southeast of the Wayfarer located in the northern part of the region. You’ll need to enter the monastery and defeat 12 rogue monks in order to claim its rewards, including the Dragon Key.

Gourmand’s Grove is northeast of the Qinghe region and is located southeast of the aforementioned Wayfarer; in order to get the Dragon Key this time, though, you have to clear out agents of Buddha Fort.

Tiger Fort and its Dragon Key is a little bit further away in Where Winds Meet, being in the southern part of of Qinghe — being southwest of Moonveil Mountain. You’ll have to defeat 12 Tiger Fort Bandits of the Greenwood Brotherhood to clear it out.

If you want to double-check and outpost’s rewards before deciding to clear it out, select it on your map and scroll down its description to find its selection of rewards of the bottom. Press the ‘View Details’ prompt to check the details of each reward to see what they can do and where you can get more.

Once you have one or multiple Dragon Keys in Where Winds Meet, you can use them to open the secret entrances to Sect bases to carry out a Skill Theft Infiltration mission for the following Martial Arts: Heavenquaker Spear, Infernal Twinblades, Inkwell Fan, Panacea Fan, and Strategic Sword — all with the same style of basin-looking stone pillars outside every entrance.

In southwest Qinghe, the entrance to the Midnight Mercy Sanctum is located southwest of Verdant Wilds. Use the Dragon Key to enter this base to sneak through and learn the Infernal Twinblades Martial Art.

The Inkwell Fan Martial Art can be stolen from the titular Inkwell Fan Sanctum, in the northern part of Qinghe, hidden well within cliff facing the ocean that’s east of Floral Expanse Beyond.

The Silver Needle Sanctum can be infiltrated with a Dragon Key in Where Winds Meet to learn the Pancea Fan Martial Art; this sanctum is discreetly located directly east of Bamboo Abode (of east Qinghe), and is northwest of the archery competition you’ll spot on the map nearby.

Deep into southern Qinghe, southwest of Palace of Annais and northeast of Circling Lake, you can find and unlock the entrance to the Strategic Sword Sanctum to find and unlock the Strategic Sword Martial Art.

Northeast Qinghe, and specifically northeast of General’s Shrine, is where you can find the entrance to the Master in Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum and acquire the Heavenquaker Spear Martial Art.

You can also obtain a Sect’s Martial Art by joining up with them, so you should only use a Dragon Key if you don’t plan on joining any of these particular factions. On the other hand, there are specific rules and entry requirements to each Sect in Where Winds Meet, so Dragon Keys are excellent time-savers if you simply wants their Martial Art without putting in all the extra dedication.

Each Skill Theft Infiltration mission in these sanctums are instant fails if you get caught, taking you pack to either the entrance or your last checkpoint. This means you can’t use regular attacks to kill sanctum members off.

With that, it’s ideal you complete the Echoes Of Old Battles side story walkthrough mission first before you try any of the Skill Theft Infiltration missions, as Echoes Of Old Battles rewards you with the Touch of Death Mystic Art: the incredibly useful insta-kill stealth attack that will make you progressing through these sanctums far easier.

Hope you’re nailing the combat in this game – you’ll need to be a swift swordsman with some of these achievements.
