How To Start The Echoes In The Shrine Lost Chapter Quest
When you reach the General’s Shrine in Qinghe, you’ll find a young child and a dog poking around in some debris next to the shrine’s entrance. If you leap into the air and slam down on the debris, you’ll open a passage to a secret tunnel.

Once inside, there’s no way back up, so you’ll have to press on and explore the underground region beneath the temple. It’s relatively quiet, minus a handful of Tiger Fort bandits that lurk around the corner.
How To Beat Zhang Lang And The Tiger Fort Bandits
When you push open the doors to a large chamber, you’ll find several Tiger Fort bandits and a man named Zhang Lang, who seems to be leading this unit. All around the spacious room are archers and explosive barrels. Use your fire arrows to control the crowd and pick off enemies in bulk.
Zhang Lang is big, but he’s not slow. He can deal several swipes in a row, so focus on keeping your distance and try to get him stuck on the explosive barrels so you can blow him away and deal a lot of damage. Once he’s down, you can loot the bandits and the room for numerous treasure chests.
How To Reach The Top Of The General s Statue
Your main goal is to find the treasure underneath the shrine, so investigate the large stone tablet to the left of the statue. It mentions showing respect to the general, and you’ll notice that the giant statue is turned around.
Head down to the mats on the floor in the center of the room and bow down to the general’s statue three times. When you do, the statue will move, spinning around to face you. The treasure you seek is hidden behind the statue in a small box.
Make sure to climb up the statue and interact with it to unlock additional rewards!
Once you’ve collected the treasure, it’s time to leave the underground. Head up the stairs and push open the large doors, then follow the pathway to reach the open world once more. Here, you’ll need to pay tribute to the other shrine to the general–the one everyone else knows about.
