Where Winds Meet is packed full of content to explore, from side quests to boss fights, and everything in between. The best part is how all of its systems intertwine; with every part of the game you explore, you’ll be making your character stronger in some way or another.
However, some side quests can be rather hidden, sometimes requiring you to complete other quests beforehand. Her Legacy is a Lost Chapter accessible after completing the first part of the story, and serves as an epilogue to Ruby’s character arc. Below, we’ll show you how to complete every part of this quest, including where to find all the locations in the treasure map clues.
How To Start Her Legacy
Her Legacy becomes available only after completing the final quest in Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier, For Whom Does He Return. Once you finish this main story quest, head back to Heaven’s Pier, and Her Legacy will pop up in the area. Track the quest to get started.
First, search the shelves of Parting Tears to find the first clue, a treasure map. This will point you to a small pond about halfway between Kilnfire Ridge and Heaven’s Pier.
Head to the area, then speak to the Old Angler. He’ll challenge you to a fishing competition; beat him to get the second clue, another treasure map. This one will point you to a spot in front of a storeroom in General’s Shrine.
Head to the location, then break the jars outside the storeroom to reveal the location of the third treasure map. Before you leave, speak to the Sweeping Villager nearby.
The next treasure map clue points you to Kilnfire Ridge. Use the Kilnfire Ridge Boundary Stone, then head south until you find the Woodcutter chopping down a tree. Speak to him, then jump onto the rooftop to look for the next clue.
Clue four is yet another treasure map. This one is a bit trickier to find, but we can tell you that it’s located just south of the North Bamboo Grove Boundary Stone. Head to the area and find the hunter, then speak to him to undertake an archery contest. Use the Still Waters skill to make this easier, then get the clue from him when you win.
Now, head to the Bamboo Abode, where wolves are waiting. Fight them off, then head to the back side of the house to find the final clue, near the steps. Open up your bag and read the letter from Ruby to get the Red Thread accessory, then head inside the building and meditate.

In the dream, speak to Ruby. After she departs and you wake up, the quest will be complete.
