Arc Raiders’ big Expedition Project is coming tomorrow, and those of you who have chosen to embark upon it will see your progress and loot getting wiped. While you will deceive some buffs, Embark also announced that you’ll receive up to five skill points based on the amount of loot you’ve collected till then. However, not many players are happy with this tradeoff.
That means you’re probably grinding away in order to horde as much loot as you can. What makes this worse is that you’re disincentivized from using any high-level gear, for fear of losing it and getting fewer skill points in return. With this in mind, some players have devised a strategy to quickly increase the value of their loot.
How To Get Loot Faster In Arc Raiders
You may think exploring or fighting The Matriarch may be the best way to stock up on loot, but that’s time-consuming, and there is a big chance that you might end up dying in the process. Key-Ice-2637 on Reddit suggests a much easier approach that will keep the loot flowing and let you have fun while you’re at it too. They claimed that it helped them go from 1.2 million to 3 million coins in a day.
They started off by staying close to an extraction point and picking off wasps and hornets for their loot. They did this for a few rounds before deciding to amp things up by hunting leapers and rocketeers. An Anvil and a few grenades were all they needed, with each kill getting them 35,000 to 40,000 coins. “I went from 50k to 100k profit as I developed my strategy”, they said. “In two hours, I made 700k. I only died twice.”
While this may sound like a ‘get rich quick scheme’, players in the comments mentioned that they’ve been following similar strategies in the buildup to the progress wipe. Going heads down and hunting Arcs seems to be the best way to fill up your stash and earn the coin required for those additional skill points after the progress wipe.
Arc Raiders Sound Design is fantastic, and it’s a real shame it didn’t get a nod at this years Game Awards.
“My point is, Arc are very profitable and fun to fight. It’s also good practice as you learn how to get better at fighting them,” they added. “You also learn which places in the border of the map are best to loot. Most of them are ignored.”
