Nintendo Switch 2 players got something to celebrate yesterday, as Dispatch was announced for the console. The game is currently available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop, with a release date of January 28, 2026. All versions of the game are available, including the upgrade pack and the Art and Comics Pack DLC. However, the artwork on the cover art has been censored.

The cover art of the Art and Comics Pack features a pool day for the SDN crew, where the entire main cast is chilling by the pool in some rather spicy swimwear. As you’d expect, it was quite a treat for fans of the game, as they got to see their favourite heroes in some revealing costumes. But, it seems Nintendo felt it was too raunchy for the eShop.

Nintendo Doesn t Even Have Dispatch Yet And Is Already Censoring Its Artwork

The original picture (above) features Blonde Blazer, Prism, and Malevola wearing some revealing swimsuits, but Nintendo’s version (below) has covered them up. Blazer’s halter-style swimsuit has been brushed to ensure no cleavage is seen, Prism’s string bikini bottom has become a regular one, and Malevola’s front-and-center strappy outfit has been covered up at the top. Even Flambae’s slightly open trunks have been zipped shut! A lot of smaller changes have also been made to the cuts of other characters’ costumes.

I’d understand if Nintendo wanted to keep its younger audiences by following the same process for every game, but the number of sleazy games you can find on the eShop makes Dispatch’s poolside shot look like a day at church. Also, considering the contents of the game itself, censoring the cover art seems kind of pointless.

Of course, fans were equal parts surprised and amused by this, with one comment saying, “It’s kind of fun seeing Nintendo doing something like that and then allowing like 1000 cheap h***ai games on the Switch store.”

Adhoc Games evolves upon the Telltale formula in some incredibly ways with Dispatch.

“I mean, there is an exposed glowing d**k in the first half an hour of the game,” pointed out another. “It doesn’t matter if you censor some t**s in a poster, parents are going to freak out in less than an hour if they buy the game for their kids.”

So pointless. It makes zero sense why Nintendo would make them censor that but not the nudity in the game.
