In any game, managing your inventory can be a cumbersome task. What to bring with you, what to leave behind. Should this be kept in storage, or just gotten rid of entirely? It’s easy to develop a hoarder’s mentality.
Free-to-play games make that even harder, with items being exceedingly difficult to get again, and Where Winds Meet is no different in that regard. As you advance through the ranks, you’ll find your bag filling up quickly, and you might not want to part with a lot of it. Well no need to worry, because the depths of your bag can go even deeper.
What Is The Default Bag Size?
When you start the game, your bag has a limit of 100 slots This can feel massive at first, as only certain items take up slots. For example, quest items, food, healing, currencies, ingredients, materials, arrows, and the like. These all have dedicated spaces in your inventory, and do not take up even a single bag slot.
Instead, the bag is used exclusively for gear, the likes of which you equip on you. And so in the early days of the game, it will take you quite a while to fill up all those spots. But you will. Once you start hitting the higher levels and can take on even more challenges and get copious amounts of gear that are below your level, your bag will be overflowing with junk.
Once your bag is full, you cannot pick up any more gear in the world, such as that in chests or dropped from enemies. This does not apply to rewards from quests and activities, which will instead be sent to your notifications to claim when you next have bag space.
You can always use excess gear for Tuning other ones, or outright recycle them to get back some money, but oftentimes you’ll just want to hang onto them for some reason or another, and that’s where that increased bag size really comes in handy.
Thankfully, increasing the size of your bag is quite simple, and is done exclusively using in-game currency, which the game will give you plenty of. The game just never actually explains how to expand your bag, or that it’s even an option.
All you have to do is open your bag and scroll right down to the bottom. There, you should see two rows of locked slots. Click on any of them, and you’ll be prompted to spend some money to give yourself another six slots. Just say yes to unlock them.
For each slot you buy, another is added, and the price increases each time as well. If you’ve nothing better to spend your money on, then this is a great way to use it.
What Is The Maximum Bag Size?
As you start buying these extra slots, the cost will probably seem miniscule to the point that you’ll just keep going until it caps out. Except that cost increases exponentially and you’ll soon be spending over 100,000 coin on another humble six slots.

Truth be told, we didn’t part with enough of our money to see where exactly the bag caps out, though we’ll be sure to update this once we’ve found it. We reached 168 bag slots and could still expand further. So really, expand for as much as you need, and maybe a little wiggle room. The bag can be expanded plenty more in future, so don’t blow your money all at once.
