Where Winds Meet has dozens of side quests to discover; some are readily available on the map, while others will require you to explore the world to start them.

Woven with Malice is a Worldly Affair side quest that will have you uncovering the mysteries behind the Celestial Silk Garment, which is said to be light as silk but strong as steel. Below, we’ll show you how to start this quest and complete every step of it.

How To Start Woven With Malice

To start Woven with Malace, head to the area to the northeast of Buddha Fort in Sundara Land, Qinghe, then talk to the Scholar.

Wait for one in-game day to begin the quest.

Here’s how to find all the cures in the Mistveil Forest to lift the fog in Where Winds Meet.

After waiting for a day, talk to the Scholar, then wait for another full day. Talk to the Scholar, who is now trapped inside the bell, who will send you to a nearby village.

Follow the quest marker there, then talk to Little Needle. Gather a blue dye, red dye, and charcoal ash, then deliver them to her. Wait for one in-game day for her to complete the job, then take the completed garment back to the Scholar.

Eavesdrop on his conversation, then approach the bell to check his condition. Pick up the handkerchief and watch the cutscene, then proceed south to Monk Tranquillus’s location.

Talk to him, then fight a duel against him twice. Then, pick up the second handkerchief a short way to the northwest and show it to Monk Tranquillus.

Talk to Little Needle, burn the vines with a fire arrow from the entrance to the cave, then talk to her again. Tell Monk Tranquillus about the trap, then find a spot to hide and wait.

Chase the mysterious woman, then rush back to Monk Tranquillus. After he gives you the letter, talk to Little Needle, then head to the Northern Bamboo Grove. You can use the Bamboo Grove Boundary Stone to make the journey a bit shorter.

At the Grove, talk to Little Needle, then talk to the stranger. Show him your handkerchiefs, then talk to him again. Talk to Little Needle, then steal the Boss’s Secret Letter from the stranger’s cart using Celestial Seize. Then, investigate the ruins; use Mighty Drop to break through the floor.

Investigate the cliff wall nearby, then use Wind Sense in the forest to discover some gawking passersby. Find the glowing spot a short distance away, then stand there to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Run to warn Little Needle, but when you approach, you’ll be knocked out. When you wake up, listen to the Pavilion Owner, then press the button during the quick time event to warn the strangers of the ambush.

Watch the cutscene that follows, then thank the two for saving you. Once they leave, speak to Little Needle one last time to finish the quest.
