There Are Now Enough Groot Variants In Fortnite For A Whole Groot Setup

Now that Baby Groot has been added to Fortnite as a Sidekick, you can have a whole setup that’s entirely made up of various different Groots.
Fortnite’s Sidekicks may have caused a lot of fuss when they were first added to the game as an expensive and strangely restrictive cosmetic, but it seems that Epic has finally cracked the code on them. Last week saw the arrival of a beloved SpongeBob Sidekick, and now Fortnite has moved on to another adorable pal – Baby Groot.
Baby Groot was confirmed to be coming to Fortnite some time ago, but he’s finally available to purchase and rock out with in Fortnite’s Item Shop. The arrival of everyone’s favourite version of Groot has also presented a rather unique opportunity, as you can now make a team that’s entirely made up of Groots.
Fortnite Now Lets You Play As Groot, Accompanied By Groot, And With Groot As A Back Bling

Over on Twitter, reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX shared a screenshot that shows them rocking what has to be a Fortnite first – a team that’s entirely made up of Groot variants. That includes normal Groot as the player character, Sapling Groot as the back bling, and then Baby Groot as the fresh new Sidekick holding the trio together. Just add the Flora Colossus fist to the mix and bam, all Groot, baby.
Epic Games has delivered one of Fortnite’s best live events yet with the fantastic Zero Hour.
That’s not even the end of how much Groot is in Fortnite, as there’s also the Young Adult Groot skin if you prefer him over the original version. Try telling me that Epic doesn’t have a bit of a preference for Marvel, I dare you.

If you are lucky enough to have all of those pieces of the puzzle, then you can put together a very Grootiful Fortnite team, and a rare character-specific loadout. Considering the only other licensed Sidekicks right now are SpongeBob and Itchy (who don’t have player skins), it’s unlikely we’ll see a team like it for a long time.
