Arc Raiders will soon be getting a major update that will wipe the progress of any who embark on its Expedition Project. The reasoning behind this is that the devs don’t want to force the progress wipe on casual players. However, those who do opt for it will be able to respec their character more efficiently, now that we know more about the skills.
With the big progress wipe just a few days away, Arc Raiders players have been discussing which skills they should be going after first to make their time on the surface a bit easier. While some only give you basic stat increases, other skills act as game-changing capstones that improve your Raider’s chances of survival.
Best Skills To Unlock In Arc Raiders
In a post on the Arc Raiders subreddit, experienced players mentioned which skills helped them the most and which ones new or progressed wiped players should go after first. The Survival tree’s skill and perks were clear favourites as they helped players not only to stay alive longer but bring back a lot more loot.
“As someone who built into mobility and has branched off into survival…holy cow survival’s perks are so much better. Carrying more weight being 2lbs per point is insane alone,” said one player. Others pointed out that this makes level two backpacks so much more viable as they can hold more loot.
“I like Security Breach,” mentioned another. “Yeah 37 points in survival is a lot but it’s a good enough skill to unlock. I don’t run out of ammo or weapons with the skill, a quick Security Locker run on Buried city and I’m good with ammo and guns.” If you find yourself running out of ammo frequently, the Security Breach skill will ensure you’re always stocked up. This is especially useful if you’re using a free kit.
The Vaults on Vaults on Vaults skill was another one that quite a few players recommended. You’re probably going to do a lot of running and climbing in every run, the ability to execute them quicker is undoubtedly a great perk to have.
