GTA Online’s Mansion Prices Have Leaked, And They’re Even More Expensive Than We Thought

The price of GTA Online’s mansions has seemingly leaked ahead of Safehouse in the Hills’ release next week, and they seem even more expensive than we all thought.
It’s been rumoured for some time now that GTA Online would be adding massive mansions for players to purchase, and that was finally confirmed yesterday with the announcement of the Safehouse in the Hills update. Not only did Rockstar confirm that Michael is finally coming back after 12 years, but it also shared some more details on what exactly the mansions are all about.
Not only are the mansions suitably massive, but they also come with trophy cabinets, a salon, kennels for your animals, a new garage, and even a private helipad, “just to name a few” of their features. The one thing Rockstar hasn’t revealed so far is how much the mansions are actually going to cost, but we have a pretty good idea thanks to an email allegedly sent to content creators.
Expect To Spend Around $200 Of Your Real-World Money On GTA Online s Mansions
That Is If You Use Shark Cards, Anyway
As pointed out by RockstarINTEL, Rockstar insider Tex2 shared some information from GTA Online subredditor moderator papaxan which seems to show an email that was sent to specific GTA Online content creators. The email offers those players $20,000,000 in-game money to pay for their first luxury property, suggesting the mansions will be at least $20 million.
Assuming the email is legitimate, that confirms once and for all that mansions are going to be incredibly expensive. That being said, it’s not clear if the $20,000,000 is for the most expensive mansion on offer or if Rockstar is sending content creators a bit of extra cash alongside the cost of the mansion. For now, we don’t quite know, but it’s still clear they’re going to cost a lot.
While GTA Online does let you earn money through heists that can go towards the mansion (which most players will likely do), if you’re jumping into GTA Online and want a mansion straight away, that means you’re going to spend at least $200 of real-world money on Shark Cards to get one. If you’re not going to use Shark Cards, expect to grind out some of the game’s hardest heists to get enough money.
We also don’t currently know how many mansions are going to be available to purchase, or what the price range on them is. I’d imagine content creators are being given enough for the high range ones, though.
For now, there’s simply too much we don’t know about how mansions work in GTA Online to be sure whether $20,000,000 is going to be the entry level price or something a bit grander. Considering everything that’s included with the mansions, though, and the fact that this update seems like a bit of a swansong for GTA Online in general, don’t be surprised if your bank account groans when the update drops.
