Arc Raiders Temporarily Pulls Hidden Bunker Event After Players Discovered A Major Exploit

Arc Raiders has been doing pretty well when it comes to potential cheaters running rampant in the game, but they do still exist. It’s almost impossible to keep cheaters out of primarily online games, and we’ve already seen high-profile titles like Battlefield 6 and Pokemon Legends: Z-A struggle to keep them at bay.
For the most part, Arc Raiders has managed rather successfully, brutally burning cheaters alive with flamethrowers, but a pretty major exploit recently discovered by players has had cheaters start turning out in droves. If you’re a dedicated player of the game, you’ll most likely be aware of this exploit, which involves the Hidden Bunker event which occurs in the Spaceport map at certain times of the day.
To get into the Hidden Bunker, players have to activate four antennas scattered across the map in random locations. Once activated, the entrance to the Hidden Bunker will open, and players will have to run inside to grab as much loot and download as much data as they can, all while fending off dangerous machines and other players.
Arc Raiders Hidden Bunker Event Removed Due To Cheaters
If you were hoping to give this a go when you next play Arc Raiders, you’re out of luck for now. That’s because cheaters have found a pretty nasty exploit, using the Hidden Bunker to somehow teleport through walls and inside the bunker itself, even when it’s locked. For anyone that knows how to use the exploit, it is a pretty massive advantage, and some players are claiming to have opened the Hidden Bunker and found that everything inside has already been looted.
Understandably, developer Embark Studios doesn’t really want cheaters to have a leg up on the competition. To try and fix the issue, Embark has pulled the Hidden Bunker event out of rotation, as announced by a developer on the game’s official Discord (thanks Vice). In the announcement, Embark explains that it has been removed temporarily while a fix is being worked on.
Now, the bad news is that Embark doesn’t give players a potential ETA on the fix, meaning we could be waiting a while to see the Hidden Bunker return. It also doesn’t tell us what form this fix is going to take, though I imagine it would be pretty difficult to fill the Hidden Bunker with flamethrowers this time around. Hopefully, it won’t take too long and the event can come back better than ever.
