Baldur’s Gate 3’s Iron Throne Is Much Easier If You Just Toss The Gondians Up The Ladder

The Iron Throne is one of the best parts of Baldur’s Gate 3. While you can take your time in the rest of the game, carefully calculating moves to achieve the best possible outcome, the Iron Throne gives you a fixed number of turns to rescue the prisoners from the underwater prison implodes, killing everyone.
Figuring out the right strategy is the key in this segment, especially because you need to contend with the guards and some of the cells are at the far end of the prison. There’s also the ladder to be accounted for, which takes up a lot of distance. However, it seems there’s a simple way to deal with the ladder at least: just toss them.
Toss The Gondians Up The Ladder In The Iron Throne
Replying to a post complaining about how hard the Iron Throne section of the game is, P4priqu4 revealed that they simply used telekinesis to toss the Gondians into the submersible to quicken things up. The poor fellows can’t move too fast thanks to their tiny legs, so a magical helping hand will do the trick.
They noted that tossing them onto the first landing, after the first ladder, as the game technically counts that as being inside the submersible. This way, you can keep one companion in the space next to the ladder, while one goes for Duke Ravengard and the other two go for the Gondians and Omeluum.
Here’s how to save all the prisoners in the Iron Throne Prison in Baldur’s Gate 3.
This way, the companion in the middle can launch the Gondians up to the submersible while also protecting their backs from any strangling guards. Of course, you don’t always need to use telekinesis; if you have Karlach or any other barbarian in the party, you can just grab them and toss them up the ladder with brute force.
This method cuts down a lot of distance that the Gondians would have otherwise taken longer to cover. It will also give you some more time to go after Omeluum once all the Gondians have been released from their cells.
