Steam has broken down its list into tiers, “Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.” However, the games are sorted randomly, making it anyone’s guess as to where each title individually finished within its given tier.
For our purposes, we’ll be looking at the “Top 100 products released in 2025, by revenue,” of which, in the “Platinum” tier, or the Top 12 overall, nine games are multi-player experiences.
In that “Platinum” tier are the following games:
Arc Raiders
The success of Valve’s Steam Machine in the console market all depends on the price.
It is, however, interesting to think that in 2025, players on Steam were absolutely into multiplayer titles, including “Friendslop” above all.
The Interesting Things Don t Stop There
If you have a minute, then I highly encourage you to check out the full landing page to see all the various lists that Steam was able to compile. They will issue a final update on January 15, so things aren’t necessarily set in stone, but there’s always room for surprises.
That said, there are a few other interesting bits worth highlighting, like Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, a relatively niche anime game, finishing in the “Silver” tier (25-50), and both Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Ninja Gaiden 4 finishing in the “Bronze” tier (51-100).

Elsewhere, Black Ops 7, the much-maligned annual Call of Duty release, still had some relative staying power, finishing in the “Gold” tier (13-24), alongside the aforementioned Doom, Expedition 33 and AC Shadows.
Which is to say, for as much as we decry year-end lists, they sure are fascinating.
