Carrying around the bodies of slain NPCs is actually pretty common inBaldur’s Gate 3, especially on subsequent playthroughs. You’ve played out all the possible paths and endings, and nowit’s time for some fun. However, where most people carry around six to seven bodies and shove them in a trunk, one player saved them all up for a terrifying shrine to murder.
Not Orin, not even the god of murder, Bhaal himself could conjure up something as horrific and terrifying as what RedditorLongwinter1641put on display in the Bhaal Temple, underneath the city. They lay the bodies of each of their victims in such a way that the floor is barely visible. The altar was reserved for some big names.
Not Even Bhaal Would Be Able To Handle This
You’d think that the god of murder would be proud of a display of bodies, but even he wouldn’t be able to handle the magnitude of this shrine. The sheer number of them is countless, almost enough to cover an entire act of the game. At the altar, we can see the corpses of Rapahel, Cazador, Sceleritas Fel, Haarlep, and even Shadowheart’s poor parents.
According to them, the final count is around 850 bodies, which they stored in the party chest. To create this ungodly display, they had to use a weight mod to be able to carry all of them to the Bhaal Temple. The total weight was around 45,000kgs. They even had to perform some special tricks to be able to pick up some bodies, like killing Raphael before he could turn into his demonic avatar.
After the global success of Baldur’s Gate 3, we sit down with Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke to talk all things Divinity.
Unfortunately, they were planning to put even more corpses, but their PC started lagging due to the fact that… you know, 850 corpses. However, the most chilling part of this grotesque display was in the caption: “I’ve now started a speedrun where I am going to sort my corpses more and make a more organized pile.”
