In Arc Raiders, very few survivors exist outside of Speranza, and every one you can find bolsters mankinds numbers against the machines. No matter what, the priority is to preserve humanity, so it’s important to follow up on leads when new raiders are spotted.
Apollo will reach out and ask you to find a family interested in settling in Speranza, but you’ll need to search the Buried City for them. The quest itself is difficult, as the guidelines aren’t marked on your map, so we’ll help you locate the target and return home safely. Here’s everything you need to know!
Where To Find The Abandoned Highway Outpost
Go to the Buried City and set your sights on the broken highway, towards the far west of the map, and a few clicks south. The camp is set up on the remains of the highway, so it’s best to use a zipline or a grappling hook to get up there quickly. After you get up on the highway, follow it all the way to the outpost.
While the family is long gone, you want to search the backpack on the ground for clues. You’ll notice that there’s a red marker, similar to the ones Tian Wen points out in her quests. These red ribbons are your next clue.
The markers are on posts and cars all along the highway, so follow them closely to keep up with the trail. You’ll end up going along the entire highway until the final breaking point, where it dips into the sands of the buried residences. Once here, the trail becomes harder to follow.
Standing at the end of the broken highway, follow the red markers to the north, into the heart of the buried residences. Once you’ve climbed up the mound of sand, turn to the southeast to complete your journey.
How To Complete A Warm Place To Rest
In the ruins of the buried residences is a shallow grave. Examine the grave to complete your objective, then extract as soon as you can. The Eastern Metro Station is nearby, which makes it an excellent escape if it hasn’t shut down yet. Once you return to Speranza, speak with Apollo about what you learned.
It’s disappointing to be sure, but there will be more survivors. For now, Apollo will still reward you with three noisemakers, five blue light sticks, a rosary, and a new cosmetic color. At least that’s something to keep you going!
