Marvel Rivals and Dispatch are two very tangible pieces of evidence that superhero fatigue just isn’t a thing in the games industry just yet. Both smashed onto the scene to rave reviews and massive success, giving us fresh takes on the superhero genre to really sink our teeth into. So, surely if you threw both of them into a big pot, gave it a mix, and dumped out the results, you’d end up with pure gold, right?
Well, that’s what one fan of both titles is trying to figure out, as throughout most of this month, a modder by the name of NegativeZoneNerd has been slowly adding Dispatch’s entire cast to Marvel Rivals, replacing established characters in the game with various members of the Z-Team. Honestly, you’d be kind of amazed by how much overlap there is between the two.
Marvel Rivals Fan Adds Dispatch Cast To The Game
On their mod page, you can see that they’ve added plenty of the Z-Team so far, starting with Prism. Of course, Prism goes over the top of Luna Snow, given how both of them revolve around music, though I don’t think Luna Snow has ever deliberately deafened anyone with K-pop. Not only that, but NegativeZoneNerd has made a spray, nameplate, and lord icon for her too.
Next up, NegativeZoneNerd added Malevola to the game, everyone’s favorite, non-romanceable demon lady. Again, the obvious pick for Malevola to replace was Magik, since they’re both obsessed with demons and wield a gigantic sword. Flambae was up next, replacing Human Torch, which is yet another obvious replacement, since they both quite literally set themselves on fire.
Invisigal was also added by NegativeZoneNerd, though I guess you have a couple of contenders for the one, as a lot of the Marvel Rivals cast can turn invisible. Given that she’s a bit of a loose cannon though, it’s understandable that she’d replace Psylocke with this mod, as I do see Inivisigal as more of a DPS than a healer.
Coupe was then added later, and again, there are a couple of contenders. Cloak and Dagger feels like an obvious one, since they both love daggers, but having her turn into a random guy every now and again might have looked a bit odd. With that in mind, Hela does seem like a more fitting pick, especially if you cut her from the Z-Team and she goes all spooky.

At the time of writing, that’s all the characters NegativeZoneNerd has done, but I can absolutely see more coming. You could replace Captain America with Phenomeman, Hulk of The Thing with Golem, and Iron Fist with Punch Up. If I could make a request, I’d love to see Waterboy somehow horrible morphed into Jeff’s model just to see what that abomination would look like. Hey, we’ve seen weirder.
