Arc Raiders players are reporting that getting into a game is really difficult right now. The game appears to be suffering from server issues, making queue times much longer than usual. However, those who managed to get into the game reported that they were put into the wrong servers.
The game just won Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards and the players will be hard at work expanding their hordes of loot for the upcoming Expedition Project. Arc Raiders’ version of an optional progress wipe, it will reward players with skill points based on the cumulative worth of their loot before the wipe. With the project going live on December 17, you can bet players are anxious to get into the game and get more loot.
Arc Raiders Servers Are Acting Up
Over on Reddit, Jubbard’s post pointed out that they’ve been waiting in for a game for over four minutes. Usually, the matchmaking is pretty quick, which was one of the things I liked about Arc Raiders. A lot of players in the comments mentioned that they were facing similar issues, and developer Embark acknowledged the issue as well.
Unfortunately, things aren’t great for those who finally get into a game either. As reported by jfaltyn’s post, matchmaking is broken as well, as it loaded them into duos and trios queues despite them choosing solo. It’s unclear what exactly is going on at the back end. The developers haven’t said much besides acknowledging that there is an issue.
Arc Raiders Sound Design is fantastic, and it’s a real shame it didn’t get a nod at this years Game Awards.
Players are already unhappy with the requirements for the Expedition Project, and now, these issues are stopping them from building up their loot and getting more skill points after the wipe. Hopefully, these issues will be resolved soon; given the timelines, delaying the Expedition Project sounds a bit hectic, but the devs may just have to do so to compensate for these issues.
