The Void King is a campaign boss in Where Winds Meet, and serves as the final boss in the Gleaming Abyss campaign quest in Moonveil Mountain.
This reclusive villain is found in the depths of the Gleaming Abyss, and has a dangerous moveset that might catch you off guard. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about this fight, including how to deal with each of the boss’s attacks.
The Void King Boss Location
The Void King is located within Moonveil Mountain and is found at the end of the Gleaming Abyss Campaign Quest, in Qinghe. You can start this quest by tracking the mysterious colossus southwest of the Wraith Village; follow along until you reach the end, where the Void King awaits.
After beating the Void King in the Gleaming Abyss, you can challenge him again through the associated Campaign
Challenge.
Here’s how to find and beat the Sleeping Daoist World Boss in Where Winds Meet.
The Void King will start the fight off by using his red attack. First, his weapon will glow red, then he’ll perform a double diagonal cut, with the second hit being parriable to counterattack. If you fail to parry the hit, you’ll take a big hit of damage.
The Void King will mix in projectiles to his typical weapon swings. When the boss brings his weapon back and swings it like a golf club, he’ll launch an icy particle at you that you’ll need to be ready to parry.
Similarly, the Void King’s gold attack has him jump into the air, then fire three projectiles at you. There is a slight delay between the second and third projectiles, so factor this in when dodging. Remember, this attack can’t be parried or blocked.
One of the Void King’s most recognizable attacks will start with him gathering and dispersing energy around himself, creating damaging blasts, then performing a series of spinning strikes. Dodge away from the initial energy bursts, then get ready to parry the strikes.
When the Void King jumps into the air, get ready to parry, as he will soon dive at you, swinging his weapon in a large arc. This attack is easily parried once you get the timing down.
Once the Void King’s first health bar has been depleted, the second phase of the fight will begin, in which the boss will gain access to new attacks.
The Void King will begin the phase by holding his weapon vertically as it begins to turn red. Then, he will jump at you and perform a string of slashes. Parry each of these hits to execute a counterattack.

One of the boss’s most dangerous attacks in this phase starts with a long wind-up, followed by a series of spinning strikes while he moves toward you. Use the wind-up time to put some distance between you and the boss, then get ready to parry the hits when they come.
Finally, the Void King will also use an attack that has him slowly moving toward you while swinging his weapon in a vertical arc three times in a row. These attacks have roughly the same timing between them, making it straightforward to parry them all and get a decent chunk of Qi damage in.
Overall, the Void King primarily uses attacks with a decent amount of notice and a relatively forgiving parry window, so a bit of practice goes a long way here. If you’re really struggling, we recommend bringing an NPC like Elder Gongsun to the fight.
Character customisation is trickier and more flexible that it might initially seem in Where Winds Meet! Here’s how to get dyes.
