Winter has arrived in the Rust Belt thanks to Arc Raiders’ new Cold Snap update. While the topside has been covered in snow to bring in the festive season, raiders will find themselves freezing if they don’t remember to stay warm. Update 1.7.0 has brought a lot more to the game, but the best thing about the update is that it’s raining blueprints.
The update brings a skill respec option, an aim down sights toggle, festive items, and raider tool customization, along with plenty of balances and fixes, but what players are currently enjoying the most is the massively increased drop rate of blueprints. Not only are blueprints much easier to find, but you’ll no longer have to fight a Matriarch for the coveted Aphelion blueprint.
Santa Brings Blueprints For Everyone In Arc Raiders
The Arc Raiders community is currently celebrating the sudden bloom of blueprints across Stella Montis. Not only does this mean they’ll get to craft new weapons and items, but it will help build up their overall loot value if they choose to embark on the expedition project. While the patch notes did mention an increase in their drop rate, players are unsure whether it was supposed to increase so significantly.
Besides regular blueprints, even the one for the Aphelion has become much easier to obtain. Earlier, you’d have to fight the massive Matriarch in hopes of it dropping, but the update has now made it available across Stella Montis. This will make it much easier for those of you who’ve been chasing the Aphelion.
Arc Raiders Sound Design is fantastic, and it’s a real shame it didn’t get a nod at this years Game Awards.
The other big change that this update brings is the ability to reset your skill tree. If you feel like you’ve chased the wrong branch of the skill tree, you can respec it for a tidy sum of 152,000 coins. This also makes the decision to embark on the expedition and wipe your progress much easier, as you’ll no longer have to lose all your loot if you want to reset your skills.
