During your many travels in the wide open adventure that is Everstone Studios’ Where Winds Meet, there is only one sure source of Tiger Bone Liquor and one definitely handy use for it. You might have either encountered this ordinary medicinal wine while taking on quests or clearing objectives, and just assumed it was random, but it was, in fact, part of the game’s design, and it can be easy to lose track of just what you need to do to get more.

What’s more, it turns out this is a development material for a very important game mechanic that can help you get the edge in combat during a later stage of the campaign. Along with telling you exactly where to find Tiger Bone Liquour in Where Winds Meet, this full guide will tell you how to farm it and what purpose you need to use it for in the game that is so important.

How To Get Tiger Bone Liquor

In Where Winds Meet, Tiger Bone Liquor can only be obtained as a lootable drop item from defeated members of the Buddha Fort Faction in the Sundara Land region, north of Qinghe; these include various Rogue Monks in the form of Buddha Fort Grunts, Buddha Fort Elites, and Buddha Fort Lieutenants.

Not all Buddha Fort Faction members will have Tiger Bone Liquor on them to loot, but if they do, a body will have around two or three units of the development material each.

You can naturally encounter Buddha Fort enemies to kill in dedicated faction camps scattered throughout Sundara Land, also filled with treasure chests filled with resources and other loot as a bonus.

To easily farm Tiger Bone Liquor, though, the most consistent method is targeting some specific outpost in Qinghe.

Here is how to get all Dragon Keys at various Where Winds Meet locations, and the locations of where to use them for hidden Weapon Martial Arts.

If you want to regularly farm Tiger Bone Liquor in Where Winds Meet, you need to target and kill Buddha Fort Faction members in the Bloomveil Monastery, Buddha Fort, and Gourmands Grove outposts; all three of these are also in the Qinghe region.

The Bloomveil Monastery is located in the central east of Sundara Land, southeast of its Wayfarer fast travel point. This outpost has 12 Rogue Monks you can eliminate for lootable Tiger Bone Liquor.

Buddha Fort is the far eastern outpost in Sundaraland, which means it’s even further east than Bloomveil Monastery. If you’re exploring this part of Qinghe for the first time and haven’t unlocked all the Boundary Stone fast travel points yet, it’s ideal to hit both outposts in that order and unlock those Boundary Stones in between as you go.

This particular spot has the most Rogue Monks if you can kill and loot for Tiger Bone Liquour, with a grand total of 16 available.

Gourmand’s Grove is in the southwest of Sundara Land, specifically directly south of said region’s title marker, and southwest of the aforementioned Wayfarer fast travel point. You’ll find seven killable Rogue Monks to murder for Tiger Bone Liquor at this one.

By killing all 35 Rogue Monks across all three of those outposts in Where Winds Meet, you can score roughly between 70 and 105 units of Tiger Bone Liquor at a time.

Then, because these outposts refresh with Where Winds Meet’s daily reset mechanic — you can approach them all again, clear all the enemies out once more, and maximize your Tiger Bone Liquor grinding, along with farming other rewards like Coin and XP, too.

In Where Winds Meet, Tiger Bone Liquor is specifically used as an upgrade material for improving Weapon Martial Arts; the most prolific found so far is the Thundercry Blade: a Martial Art that can be obtained by either joining the Well of Heaven sect or performing a Skill Theft infiltration mission to sneak into the sect’s base and learn it by watching its master.

Specifically, Tiger Bone Liquor is the special component required to upgrade Thundercry Blade from Level 20 to Level 30, after reaching Thundercry Blade Tier 1; with one Tiger Bone Liquor required, you’ll need ten units of what you’ve collected from farming so far.

While joining your desired faction can be easy enough once you know each Sect’s rules and guidelines for joining in Where Winds Meet, performing the Skill Theft is usually the far easiest route by far — especially if you want to obtain all the Weapon Martial Arts in as little time as possible.

Where To Skill Theft Thundercry Blade

To get Thundercry Blade through Skill Theft and upgrade it with Tiger Bone Liquor in Where Winds Meet, you need to reach the Well of Heaven sect in the deep south of the Kaifeng region — within the Granary of Plenty section on the far bottom-right of the map.

You can quickly get the map location by going to the Thundercry Blade in your Weapon Martial Arts menu, pressing the prompt to ‘Obtain’, then again for ‘Skill Theft’, and the game will tell you exactly where you need to go.

However, you can’t properly unlock Kaifeng until you complete Chapter One of Where Winds Meet’s campaign, ‘Heaven Has No Pier’, and reach Level 32. Once you reach Kaifeng after completing the first mission of Chapter Two, appropriately named ‘New Arrival in Kaifeng’, you’ll be able to explore the region and unlock Wayfarer and Boundary Stone fast travel points to make traveling around far easier.

Once you complete the Skill Theft infiltration, you’ll instantly have Thundercry Blade added to your Weapon Martial Arts with the following key skills:

Grants a shield equal to 25% of your max HP for 8s and increases Fighting Spirit by two bars. If you have Drumbeat, it will be removed to trigger your Perception Skill.

A light attack charged skill. After charging, spin the Mo Blade to unleash a double sweeping strike, dealing moderate damage in a wide area. You can move while charging. The charge has three stages, with damage increasing at each stage. Releasing at Stage three consumes one bar of Fighting Spirit (if available) to boost damage by 20% and unlock the light attack varied combo skill. Press the light attack button to consume one bar of Fighting Spirit and activate it. Grants Fortitude during the skill.

Consumes two bars of Fighting Spirit to drive the Mo Blade into the ground, generating a vortex that pulls in nearby enemies (ineffective against bosses). Then spins the Mo Blade to unleash a powerful sweeping attack and gains Focus. Grants Fortitude during the skills.

Hope you’re nailing the combat in this game – you’ll need to be a swift swordsman with some of these achievements.
