Enver Gortash is one of the three main antagonists you meet in Baldur’s Gate 3 – but isn’t he dreamy? Well, he doesn’t personally do anything for me, but some people really like him. So much so that they have begged Larian to make it possible to romance the tyrant.
Alas, the various patches for Baldur’s Gate 3 have come and gone without a Gortash romance in sight. All fans have to keep them going is the vague suggestion that, if you play as The Dark Urge, you and Gortash might have had something before the start of the game, but that’s it. Which, naturally, means we have to turn to the modding community.
Earlier this month, the prayers of Durgetash shippers were answered. Kiss Gortash by Nexus Mods user Nuage12 makes it possible to lock lips with the villain if you go down a certain route with his character. Since the smooch is saved for when it would logically make the most sense, you can think of this as a subtle Gortash romance arc – albeit one that will end shortly after.
You Can Kiss Gortash With This Baldur s Gate 3 Mod, But Don t Expect A Happily Ever After
You’ll have to play the long game to unlock the kiss with this mod installed, and make a decision that will be controversial with some of your party members – especially Karlach. That is because you will have to form an alliance with Gortash, killing Orin when he instructs you to. Then, you have to return to him with her and Ketheric’s Netherstones – but insist on keeping them for yourself. If you agree to hand them over when he asks, he’ll think you’re a weak ally and attack you.
Should you successfully form the alliance, Gortash will join you on your way to confront the Netherbrain. There, this mod will give you the chance to talk to him, or kiss him, as you can with whoever you’re romancing. So, in a sense, that means you’re getting a conclusion to a romance arc between The Dark Urge and Gortash. Beautiful.

Just don’t expect them to run off into the sunset together. Shortly after this, Gortash will get one shot by the Netherbrain. If you’ve made it this far, I recommend having Karlach with you, because her reaction is pretty legendary. Sorry, Durgetash fans. If it’s any consolation, you’re far from the only couple to be split up by the consequences of the ending.
